Upper Midwest QOV Coordinators
The following individuals have volunteered to act as coordinators for the Upper Midwest Chapter of the national Quilts of Valor Foundation. The Upper Midwest QOV currently covers Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. We are facilitating the making and distribution of the quilts, trying to award the QOVs to LOCAL veterans. If you would like to participate in some way, please contact your nearest coordinator. If you know of a veteran who qualifies for a QOV and has not yet received one, please let one of us know.

Karen Demaree provided the following information about her booth at the Wisconsin Quilt Expo sponsored by Wis Public Television and Nancy's Notions, held at the Alliant Expo Center, Madison, Wisconsin Sept. 11-13, 2008:
2 - 4' folding tables with adjustable legs (KMart, Walmart, Sam's etc) usually about $35 but look for them on sale. Use highest setting so you are at eye level. Table covering was vinyl tablecloth fabric from Joann Fabrics on sale. By covering all the way to the floor, you can hide things under the table and still look good.
Sleeves were pinned to quilts and then used cafe rods in pocket. "S" hooks attached them to display rods. Most places won't let you pin to curtains. If you need to make your own "S" hooks I can give dimensions.
Brochures were in literature display holders from the office supply store. Mine were 3 tier because I had them. They are available in 1/2 height.
Back table was covered with QOV's and pillowcases. Donation jar was empty pretzel jar. Be sure to have 2 pigma pens for each "signing" station (we had 4). Basically, keep it clean, neat, and simple.
BTW - we had "celebs" sign - Eleanor Burns, Nancy Zieman, Kaye Woods. Those may not mean anything to the warriors but people were impressed and willing to sign, too. Maybe we could have auctioned off the right to be on the same quilt!
We usually have rail fence (red/white/blue) blocks for show attendees to sign. We raise extra money by requesting a donation of $1 - $2 for a signature.
